September 15, 2009 My husband is so wonderful... he surprised me last night with my favorite flowers, orchids - just because! He also bought groceries for dinner and prepared chicken wings, crawfish, and corn just in time for some football!
We flew out to Massachusetts on Thursday, September 9th to attend the memorial services for Mike's Grandma Mame. The services were beautiful and we had the memorial reception at the "Delaney House" where the families were able to get together and catch up. It's always hard letting go of the ones we love, but as the family agreed, we took this time together to celebrate her life and her memory and she will always be in our hearts.
We got to spend some extra time with our niece Abby who has grown so much since we last saw her the week of our wedding
Abby with her Grandpa Tom
Justin, Jason, and Mike
Mike with Nathan (cousin Jamie's son)
We stopped by for some breakfast at "The Cracker Barrel"
Cousin Jamie's daughter, Isabelle who is such a sweetheart!
We spent the weekend with the Kenney Family whose little girls are getting so big, so fast. On Saturday we meet them at Seaport Village and enjoyed another beautiful day in San Diego with chocolate chip cookie treats. Sunday we went to the Kenney's house for a carne asada potluck BBQ. Teegan was her silly self and is learning the smile that goes with "cheese!" Their youngest, Payton Jean is 6 months old and just recently learned to sit up on her own. We also got to meet Shana's newest addition to her family, her little boy, Beau, who is so cute and ohhh so sweet.
We had a wonderful time on our honeymoon in Maui and Oahu... We enjoyed the ocean, sun, and marvelous sunset views. We drove through Kapalua golf course in Maui and had a wonderful time snorkeling at Honolua. In Oahu, we rented mopeds and toured around the west side of the island to Hanauma Bay and the famous "Blow Hole."
We just got our pictures online today and we couldn't be happier with the way they turned out! Chelsea and her assistant photographer, Laura were able to capture priceless moments and endless shots of laughter that bring our wedding to life all over again.

We would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who helped make everything turn out so perfect on our special day. Thank you Mom and Dad for all the love and support and most especially for helping plan and organize so much of our wedding. Ate and Scoopes for being there and covering all the bases! Thank you Bridges and Jaco families for making the trip to the West Coast and for a wonderful week!
Thank you to all of our vendors who gave us your best and who worked so hard. RG Bar - you did a wonderful job keeping those cups full! Auntie Linda, Ate Marie, and Ate Agnes thank you so much for all of the great food. Quintinn, our DJ, for your musical talent. Our special thank you's to Omi and Uncle Victor - for all the decorations and most especially for the flowers that were more then I dreamed they would be, you are amazing. And to our photographers, Chelsea and Laura... for capturing moments and memories that will last forever!
On Saturday, August 15th, Mike and a couple of friends and I were invited to go Spinnaker Sailing - similar to Parasailing only instead of a parachute, you use the actual sail of the boat. The winds took the girls up about 30-40 feet and the guys about 10-20 feet. We had a great time and enjoyed a fun day in the sun!
