20 Weeks... Half Way There!

We are at 20 weeks today - half way there!  The baby is now the size of a cantaloupe and can tastes the things I eat. We celebrated by going to dinner at one of our favorites - Sushi Deli.  It's amazing how fast it's going and so exciting to see the weekly transformation.  Mike felt the baby moving yesterday and it was so neat to share that experience with him.  The belly is definitely growing and the back-pain is in full force... But each little kick and movement I feel makes it all worthwhile!

Superbowl Sunday - Saints vs. Colts

We had the Kenney family and Scoopes over for Superbowl Sunday.  We had BBQ ribs and tri-tip steak and pizza and the Kenney's brought this delicious buffalo chicken and cheese dip, salad and corn bread.... MmmmmM!!  Nothing better than yummy food to go along with great company and a great game!  Go Saints!!!

Birthday and Retirement Celebration!

February 6th, 2010

Since Dad's actual birthday fell on a Thursday this year, we celebrated his 60th birthday and retirement party on Saturday which is Scoopes' and my birthday!  We had his side of the family come down from LA to have lunch at the house and the invited everyone to the Great Plaza Buffet in PB to celebrate with some close family-friends and some of his former co-workers!

Happy 60th Birthday Dad!

Dad Bautista's birthday is on February 4th so the girls and I went to the house to visit for a small celebration since we would be throwing him a bigger party on Saturday.  We picked up some Chinese food from one of our favorite places and had some yummy ice cream cake for dessert!  Happy 60th Dad!

 

  

  

  

 

Fetal Anatomy Ultrasound Appointment

Mike and I had our 18-week, 6-day Fetal Anatomy Ultrasound appointment today and they confirmed that the 4-D ultrasound we did at 15-weeks was correct - we're having a BOY!  Our little guy was very cooperative during the anatomy exam as they took pictures of his heart, arms, legs, spine, stomach and measured the size of his head.  We also got to see him open and close his mouth, move his hands, and kick near my bladder - probably because it was taking up so much of his space since they ask that you drink 20 ounces of water an hour before to put the baby in a better position for pictures!  Baby Bridges measures about 7 inches long and weighs 11 ounces!

Another Engagement Party...

We celebrated Mike's friends, Sam and Fontaine's engagement on Sunday.  They have been together for 6 years and began their love story at Rock Bottom... a common meeting place for a lot of love birds!  Congratulations again - wishing you the best!
